Hi there, welcome to my blog!
I've created an alter ego - The FovoJourneyMan...and I wonder who will left here by the end - him or me? Does it matter...probably not....
Where'd he come from?
Well the place I grew up in was the wee fishing & martime port of Bluff on the southern most tip of New Zealand. It's home, I love it, it shaped who I am today....but I don't live there anymore. Maybe one day huh...
It's bordered by Foveaux Strait. I know how to pronounce Foveaux, I guess most Kiwis do too, but anywhere else in the world...well suffice to say Fovo is how it is phonetically!
So Fovo is a reference to my dearly beloved distant home and early beginnings. You can see a pictoral tat of it across my shoulder as a nice daily reminder of where I'm from.... :-)
Journey....well I'm on a hell of a ride now. I've always loved the journey, often more than the destination.
Man...well I'm not a lady!
So FovoJourneyMan came to be. Hope you like what he has to say :-)
Many of my working years have been spent in the oil fields of Kazakhstan mainly in Project Management, in the discipline of Project Services - Cost Engineering.
In a nutshell we oversee the cost estimating, cost forecasting and cost control activities relating to major oil field capital construction works...ie we built big toys for big boys.
From the moment the liquids came out of the well, our projects build everything needed to get it from the well site, processed and off to market. Everything needed to achieve that was built by our projects - the oil & gas processing facilites, infield pipeline networks to gather production from the well sites, the export pipelines to market, the roads, railways, bridges, dams and camps.
Anything that was needed for the process of taking the liquids out of the ground and sending it downstream to market. We played with the cost data for that.
They were great times with plenty of challenges, fun and comradeship out on site and there is still plenty of work about.
Over recent years I've been exploring other paths, paths I always knew were there but had suppressed for many years...and so begins yet another journey....
I've been fortunate enough to stumble upon a number of people who have greatly influenced me in recent years, and the timing of their influence cannot be coincidental!
You can read about them in the "People who have influenced me" list in the side bar.
In short, there has been a lot of investing in myself over the last few years - I've discovered the joy and sheer transformational power of NLP and associated accelerated change techniques. See Chris Howard's description for more on this.
Roger Hamilton helped me to understand more about who I am, who you are and how we can all work together maximising our different talents to create a bigger whole. A lot of things make a lot more sense now - thanks Roger!
Tim Lowe & Andrew Reynolds have opened my eyes to the possibilities of generating substantial wealth with direct response information marketing. This is a direction in life that is hugely motivating for me...
Alex Jeffreys is a dynamic and energetic internet marketer on the way up to web stardom. His mentoring and coaching program is helping put all the pieces together from Chris, Roger, Tim & Andrew, adding in his own twist on things online and getting me focussed on making a massive transformation.
To all these guys, a massive thanks, in your own ways you've all changed my life!
So what do I want to do and where do I want to be?
I have a plan to generate wealth using a blend of direct response & internet marketing to promote information products & techniques to transform other peoples lives.
There are substantial opportunities existing in the marketplace, and unexplored deep within people's minds right now.
I plan to develop & promote material to awaken people to these opportunities - match people to the stuff already exising in the market, and show others that they have potential businesses in their heads, if only they realised it and knew how to develop them.
I'm here to be the best I can and through that process help others to be the best they can.
So the future is very exciting! :-)
See you in the blog
Bernard
